Who we are
NGO Mokryi Nosyk, registered in Volyn region, Ukraine (EDRPOU 44869265). Contact email: mokryinosyk@gmail.com. We're the data controller for personal data you submit through this site.
What data we collect
Data you knowingly provide:
- Through the contact form — name, email or phone, message.
- Through the adoption application (Google Form) — more details about your family and living conditions (stored at Google).
- Through donations — handled by payment systems (Monobank, PayPal). We don't store your banking details.
- Through the «Surrender an animal» form — last name, first name, patronymic, date of birth, phone, email, actual place of residence, a photo of a passport or ID card, plus the animal's details and photos. The passport photo is needed to complete the animal-transfer act; it is kept in secure private storage and is never published. Photos of the animal itself are published (to help find a new home) only with your separate consent.
Data collected automatically:
- Technical visit info — IP address, browser type, session duration.
- Cookies — more on those below.
Why we need this data
- Contact information — to reply to your inquiry, send info about an animal, arrange adoption.
- Technical information — to understand how the site works, spot technical issues.
- Analytics (optional) — if you allowed it in cookie settings — to make the site more comfortable.
We do NOT sell your data to third parties. Ever.
How long we keep data
- Contact-form messages — 2 years, then deleted.
- Adoption data — while the animal is in our care (so we can stay in touch with the adopter).
- Surrender requests and passport photos — until the animal is rehomed; deleted afterwards (passport photos no later than 6 months).
- Technical logs — 30 days.
- Cookies — per your settings (typically 365 days).

On this site we use:
Necessary cookies — for the site to function (remembering your language, saving form input). These don't require your consent — without them the site doesn't work.
Analytics cookies — not currently used, but we may add Google Analytics in the future. Only with your consent.
Marketing cookies — not currently used.
You can change your cookie settings any time — the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of the site.
Your rights
Under Ukrainian personal data protection law and the European GDPR, you have the right to:
- Know what data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Receive a copy of your data in machine-readable format.
- File a complaint with the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

Third-party data sharing
We use the following services that may have access to your data:
- Supabase (database) — USA/Europe. GDPR-compliant.
- Vercel (site hosting) — USA. GDPR-compliant.
- Resend (email delivery) — USA. GDPR-compliant.
- Google Forms (adoption application) — USA. Governed by Google's privacy policy.
- Monobank / PayPal (payments) — for donation processing.
Each of these services has its own privacy policy — available on their respective sites.
Data security
We do our best to protect your data:
- Encrypted connection (HTTPS).
- Restricted database access.
- Regular backups.
But absolute security on the internet doesn't exist. If you're concerned about privacy — you don't have to fill in forms; you can reach us another way (phone, in person).
Children
The site isn't intended for children under 14. If you're a child — ask a parent to contact us instead of filling forms yourself. If you're a parent and find that your child left us their data — write to us, we'll delete it.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy. The last-updated date is at the top. We'll announce significant changes via a banner on the site.
