Our vision — more than a shelter

Mobile vet clinic
Every day we see the consequences of the same problem: abandoned puppies and kittens, and thousands of animals born only because their parents were never spayed in time. We don't want to fight the consequences forever — we want to remove the cause. A mobile vet clinic is a specially equipped vehicle for on-site sterilizations: it would let us reach remote Volyn villages with no vet clinics or no way to get an animal to a doctor. Since 2022 we've already helped sterilize 4 000+ animals, so we know how effective it is. But today every operation takes complex logistics, transport and time. The mobile clinic would make it systematic: spaying right in the communities, reaching dozens of villages a vet has never visited, preventing thousands of stray births, and easing the load on shelters and volunteers. We can't pull this off alone — we're looking for a partner, patron or grant.

If this happens
Every year, hundreds of owned and stray animals in remote villages would get access to sterilization: fewer unwanted litters, fewer abandoned animals, less suffering. The best way to help a stray is to keep it from ending up on the street in the first place. 🐾
A video school: kids teaching adults
Most problems of stray animals don't begin on the street — they begin in people's heads. We can rescue dogs and cats for years, but real change starts when a new generation grows up understanding responsibility for animals. We want to run free workshops for Volyn kids: teaching them to make short videos about animals, responsible care, sterilization and humane treatment. The kids won't just sit through lectures — they'll create the content themselves, and it spreads among friends, parents, schools and communities. One child can teach ten adults, one clip can shift hundreds of minds, and one right idea today can save dozens of animals tomorrow.

If this happens
In a few years — a generation of kids for whom abandoning an animal is unthinkable, and for whom sterilization, vaccination and responsible care are the norm. The best way to save thousands of animals is to raise thousands of responsible people. 🐾
Animal crematorium
One day every owner faces the hardest moment — saying goodbye. A dog or cat is with us for years: they meet us after work, comfort us in hard times, become part of the family. But in Volyn there's almost no way to give them a dignified farewell — people are left alone with their grief and forced to find any way out. We want to change that: to build the first modern animal crematorium in Volyn, where every family can say goodbye to their friend with respect, gratitude and without a sense of helplessness. A place where animals are treated with dignity even after death, owners get support, the process is transparent and clear, and the memory of a pet can be kept for years. For many it isn't just an animal — it's a family member who was there for 10, 15, sometimes 20 years.

"A friend, not a function"
By changing how people treat animals, we change society. Every year thousands of animals end up on the street not out of cruelty, but because of outdated ideas: a dog is kept as an alarm, a cat as a mouser, a puppy is bought as a child's toy. And when the animal doesn't meet expectations, it's simply thrown out. "A friend, not a function" is a large public-awareness campaign about responsible treatment of animals. Through stories of real dogs and cats, social videos, posters, articles and work with bloggers, we'll talk about the things that save lives: sterilization, responsible care, adoption instead of buying, humane treatment. Change doesn't start in shelters — it starts in people's heads. Have an audience and a voice? Talk not only about trends, but about responsibility: one post can convince someone to neuter their dog, and one video can shift the attitudes of thousands.
